If you’re looking to get started with affiliate marketing, and are worried that it’s going to cost you a lot of money just to start out – before you make single dime, I have some good news for you.
If you really wanted, you can start out with no money whatsoever.
It’s free to sign up for affiliate programs. You can also post your affiliate link in a lot of places for free, such as in the signature of your email, on Facebook, Twitter, classified ads, etc.
So if you really wanted to spend no money at all, it is possible. It’s probably somewhat difficult, but it can be done.
A more reasonable way to get started though, is to create your own website. Starting a blog can be very simple, and very cost effective as well.
What kind of money are we talking about? About $10 for a domain name, and less than $10 a month for hosting.

GoDaddy:This is a great place to buy a domain name. This is the URL that you will give out when you want people to come to your website. You will spend around $10 for a domain, but depending on the extension can spend even less. You only have to pay for the domain once each year.
Hostmonster: They charge $6.95 a month for unlimited domains, unlimited space, and a whole lot more. This is helpful once you start growing your business, and want to have multiple websites. You don’t have to worry how many you have, they’ll all be able to go under this one hosting account.
That’s all. It is free to use WordPress (a popular blog software), and even if you don’t know how to create a website, there are many locations where you can get free WordPress themes.
So really, it doesn’t cost much, even if you want to start your business with your own website. While of course there are always things you can spend more money on, the basics that you should have are just hosting and a domain name. So you really don’t have an excuse for not starting with your affiliate marketing business.
